Watch me show off.....LOST style

Here's a video of some very talented artist showing off drawing John Locke from LOST on photoshop CS2. Granted his talents are amazing, but there seems to be something quite pretentious about posting a video of you drawing a picture. It would be like Picasso posting a video of him painting The Old Guitarist or something to that effect (Although, thinking about it, that would be a sight to see).

It would appear thought, that looking at some of the comments and the spoof videos that are made, many agree with me.

This video is a humourous spoof of the orginal, poking fun at the whole thing.

...hmm, maybe not as good, but 10 points for effort.

Britney & Madonna...or is the French & Saunder

As a Buddhist the question I get asked a lot at Christmas is 'what do you do all day?', to which I shrug and say 'sit around watching TV and eating loads of food...you?' It's then that the blind realisation hits them that they do exactly the same. It would appear, whatever the religion, come Christmas day most families are sat on the sofa, stuffed full of food, blind drunk and watching the annual French & Saunders Christmas special....ahhh, religion. God bless, well, God.

I remember a few years ago watching this particular French and Saunders spoof and finding it utterly hilarious, so I dug it up for your viewing pleasure.

If your brain hasn't been warped by too much Cribs and Star Trek then you'll unfortunately remember the Britney and Madonna musical duet from 2003, but good things from bad situations in the form of Dawn Fench and Jenifer Saunders.

French is Britney and Saunders is Madonna....see, already this is hilarious, and the both re-enact the scene from the original music video, with their own wicked humour placed here and there. The most brilliant part of the clip is the lyric changes French and Saunders have made.
Such as Saunders "watch me I can mate the wall" and French's "Stop rubbing you ass all over his face." However, the reason why this spoof is so funny is not because of any lyric changes or disastrous dance routines but because of how ridiculous the original video is in the first place. It deserves to be made fun of.

Scofield. Michael Scofield

I realised that I haven't yet posted a 'Tube' about film (the week is still young though dear bloggers) so I thought I would meet you sort of half way. How's a video featuring the delectable Wentworth Miller edited together with clips from the recent James Bond: Casino Royale movie sound?

Prison Break's rather aesthetic hero, Michael Scofield, has collided fandoms with with James Bond's also rather aesthetic hero...well, James Bond.

The video itself is amazing. It's cut and pasted to dizzying speed with each clip synchronised with the pumped up Bond theme tune. However as a result, at just over four minutes, it does feel a little too long, though the ending is pure brilliant.

But, and I think most females (and honestly, most males) would agree with me here, the best part of the video is being able to glimpse what it would be like if Miller were Bond. I love the idea! Lets campaign for it. 'MILLER FOR PRESIDENT BOND 2008' .

The name's Fogg. Anna Fogg.

Stargate:Atlantis

This is a short fanvideo of the TV show Stargate:Atlantis. To be truthful i've never seen the show, but it does have a huge cult following on the internet. I was browsing Livejournal when I found the piece 'Ambushed' which led me to this video.

You may have to know about the characters, the plotlines and their situations to fully understand it, however from a creative viewpoint it's absolutly stunning. The Piano and strings over the vibrante, yet slightly washed out images create a sense of isolation and yearning.

It's been very cleverly edited together, using clips from SGA, but also from other films and shows, some clips also appear to be home made videos using a handheld camera.

I'm sure for fans of the show this is nothing short of a sparkling gem, not only because of the implied slash of the two shown characters but because of effort and talent of the video. If only all fanvideos were this good.

Cribs:Star Trek style

I'm Fogg. One quarter of the ReviewTube team and I’ve been assigned 'TV/Film'. So my first post will obviously be about a show I’ve never seen.... obviously.

Anyone under the age of twenty, a student and/or unemployed will probably know about MTVs Cribs. The show in which rich, obnoxious celebrities show off their mansions and fifty cars. And anyone over the age of 50 is, or once was a 'Trekkie'. So what is a better way to close the gap between young and old? Star Trek Cribs...with puppets.

To really find it funny you would probably have to know of Star Trek beforehand, but if you are a ST fan you'll probably chuckle about it just because of the pure silliness of the whole thing. If you're a student…well, students laugh at anything so you’ll find it funny anyway, and really, talking puppets using gansta’ slang? What’s there not to like?!

The oddest thing is that there are many, many more videos like this on YouTube. Just let video end and check out the other clips. 'Star Trek 2.0 Karaoke' is worth a watch. People have
way too much time on their hands. They’re probably students.
